Welcome to Steenberg Veterinary Clinic!
As well as being a fully functional clinic for both operations and every day consults, we have vets with a special interest in avian, orthopaedic and cancer medicine and surgery. We focus on creating a loving and friendly environment to bring your furry and feathered family members to, ensuring you get the best medical attention we can provide along with a cuddle or a treat! Our facilities include a full operating theatre with anaesthetic, X-ray, and ultrasound machines, an in-house laboratory for running blood tests, 2 consult rooms and over-night facilities for those who need cage rest after surgery.
You will meet our fantastic Vets, Dr Ross Kennedy-Smith, Dr Achim Steinhagen, Dr Gina du Plessis and Dr Lauren McGavin. They are available for both normal and focussed consults, as well as operating every day of the week. We stock a large range of food, toys, healthy treats and flea and tick protection to suit many of your furry friends needs.
Our food range includes Burgess, Roudybush, Acana, Orijin, Hills, Hills Ideal Balance, Eukanuba, Royal Canin and Vets Choice. We stock most flea and tick products, including spot-ons, collars, sprays and tablets. Bird food, hamster food, rabbit food and cat litter are also stocked. We encourage owners to bring their pets by regularly so they can get used to us and find out visits can be a fun and happy experience too, making it much easier for them when they come in for check ups or procedures. A regular weigh in is a great way for them to get used to our front staff and keep them at a healthy weight at the same time! Or just bring them along when you need to buy their food or deworming tablets.
Our receptionists love getting to know the new puppies and kittens, as well as any new-comer, big, small, old, young, feathered or furry! We are always waiting with a hug or a smile and a treat for your companions. So please come and visit our practice!
